Ok, so, I 'm sure a lot of you have probably cringed already...!I don't blame you, green nail polish is definitely not for everyone... Had you asked me a while back (pre MAC's Peppermint Patti that is) , I 'd have probably done the same! However, I hesitantly got into the green nail trend, and to be honest, I 'm glad I did! It's a nice change from my usual purple or Lauren Conrad-esque palette (i.e.: red, black, dark blue) and I find that it can lift my mood somehow, well, mainly because I don't expect to be taken very seriously sporting a green nail! It's a fun colour, for sure! So, here's my mini green nail polish collection (so far):
From left to right we have:
- Barry M Nail Paint in 284 - Emerald Green. This is a shimmery dark emerald green colour, it's lovely and suprisingly it was the easiest to apply of the three (not to mention probably the easiest application ever). Sadly, the photo washes it out a bit.
- Barry M Nail Paint in 304 - Mint Green. Most of you know have heard about this one a million times already, not much to say about it, other than a huge "Thank you" to one of the sweetest girls ever, Lydia, because if it hadn't been for her and her lovely giveaway, I wouldn't be mentioning this one right now!
- Essie in Greenport. The start of it all! This is a turquoise green colour and it came out with the North Fork collection. It's a lovely shade, a bit more toned down than the other two, as it balances perfectly between green and blue. I love this one, I 'm so glad I picked it up over Peppermint Patti after all!
So, this is it so far...! Let me know what you think of green nails and what shades you 've tried! :)
