By now, I'm sure you all know that I have a bit of a soft spot for any half-decent nail polish collection (I mean there's a reason why I've ended up being a nail polish hoarder) and this spring it was Essie's "Navigate Her" that caught my attention: a well chosen mix of pastels and brights that would surely cater to anyone's taste.
Now, I'm not one for lilac nails and I already own quite a few mint greens, so I just went for the ones that seemed less dupable in my eyes: A Crewed Interest and Ole Caliente.
Essie A Crewed Interest is a light peach shade in a creme formula. It instantly reminds me of the infamous Van D' Go, only less pink and much easier to apply: two careful coats and you 're pretty much done! I like this one a lot, because it's halfway between a nude and a peach pastel, meaning you can easily get away with it in a number of occassions! :)
Essie Ole Caliente, my second pick, is a bright reddish coral that simply screams "summer"! According to Scrangie, this one is a creme, but I'd say it leans more towards a jelly finish. The application was an easy peasy two coater and for the swatch above I skipped the top coat. I literally can't wait for summer to come, so I can proudly wear this on my (hopefully more tanned by then) fingers and toes! Dupe-wise, I can't say that this reminds me of anything else, I guess it could be compared to Essie Vermillionaire, but it's much more redder than that one.
All in all a good nail polish haul to cover my needs for this spring/summer season! Not that it will stop me from buying the odd one here and there of course (Essie Pink-a-boo is already calling my name)!
Have you picked out anything from the Navigate Her collection? What nail polish shades have you picked for this spring/summer season?
