The Makeup Bag Update! #1

Every so often, and mainly at the beginning of a new week, I try to change up the contents of my makeup bag, depending on the mood I'm in and my upcoming schedule.
This week is a particularly busy one for me, and I'm still recovering from an epic cold that's been torturing me for days, so any mood for experimentation certainly goes out the window. For now, I'll be sticking to those tried and trusted basics (comfort zone, fret not, you won't be pushed this week)! Those include:

Face: MAC Strobe Cream mixed with Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 110, a nice and forgiving everyday foundation for those "lackluster skin" days (for my pale gals, this is a hard to find shade that's not available in most countries - I got it through Amazon) // Collection 2000 Concealer in 1 Fair // The Balm Sexy Mama Anti-Shine Translucent Powder dusted very lightly over my T-zone // MAC Omega Eyeshadow for the eyebrows // Korres Monoi Oil Bronzing Powder in 02 Sunglow Warm (will I ever hit pan on this?!) // Benefit Rockateur Powder Blush for an understated flush of color.

Eyes: MUA Undress Me Too Eyeshadow Palette, a dupe for Urban Decay's Naked 2 // Topshop Crayon in Ramble used as an eyeshadow base or on its own as a wash all over the lids // Maybelline Master Smoky Shadow-Pencil in Smoky Chocolate in case I need to up the drama for an evening-time look // Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara.

Lips: Sephora Lip Attitude Glamour in G08 Lilac Lyric which I adore for when my lips are on the drier side (see swatch here) // Smashbox Lipgloss in Pout, a great match for Lilac Lyric.

Apologies to those of you that were looking for a more innovative makeup bag update - hopefully when things wind down, I'll get the chance to spice things up a bit!

What does your go-to makeup look include?
Any tweaks that involve new products? :)

What's your opinion?

  1. yes! Even I have started doing this since past few months.... I was just using the same old stuff... set in my comfort zone... I am glad I started rotating stuff. At least the products get used!!!
