My Easter Mani: Sephora Nail Patch Art in "A24 Upper East Side"

I've had these Sephora nail wraps for quite some time now, but, I've been sort of deliberately putting them aside; I couldn't find the perfect opportunity or occasion to wear them.

Until last Sunday, that is, which was Orthodox Easter Sunday here, a day that surely calls for a celebratory manicure, and, to me, this "eggs gone disco" print couldn't have matched the day any better! So, hereby, I present you with Sephora's own nail polish stickers in A24 Upper East Side:

Now, I know I'm probably the last person on earth to jump on the nail sticker/nail wraps bandwagon, so, I can't really compare these with anything else. I think it's worth mentioning, however, that these are not your usual nail wraps, which require some form of heat for the application, they're simply nail adhesives (though I doubt that anyone would tell the difference).

The packaging claims that these stickers are 100% easy to use, 100% trendy, 100% shiny, that they require zero drying time and that they're long-lasting, and I'd say that every one of those claims is pretty much true: the procedure is really fast, dead easy and requires minimal skill: you basically peel the sticker off the strip, place it carefully on your nail, file down the edges and voila, you're done! The only thing that's perhaps a bit misleading is the mega-shine claim: don't expect a glass-like finish like your favourite fast drying top coat - though perhaps that depends on your choice of sticker pattern.

Other than that, however, I'd say these are pretty darn good: so far I've been wearing mine for 4 days straight and I've only noticed minimal fading at the tips of my nails - but then again, due to my super small nails these days, I didn't wrap the excess sticker underneath the tips as advised, I just filed right at the edges.

I've added a list of the ingredients for reference:

All in all, I'm very pleased with these nail stickers and I'd definitely recommend them if you're pressed for time, or looking for a mani solution that can take a beating and still be long lasting. I'd definitely look into a few more patterns next time I find myself at Sephora! :)

EDIT: Taking these off did require a little bit of effort, in that I had to let the acetone pad sit for a few seconds on each nail. Truthfully, though, I expected the removal to be way worse than it was - to give a rough idea, I found it easier than removing glitter nail polish.

Have you tried any nail wraps/nail stickers? Which ones are your favourites?

What's your opinion?

  1. Super cute!!!let us know how easy they are to remove as well. I love the sally hansen ones but they are a pain to remove...

  4. I haven't seen such a design, they look textured! I have tried Sally Hansen's, the thing is that you must apply pressure all over and especially on the edges to make them adhere properly. Other than that, I find it very easy to apply.

    1. @ScrapgalGR: Thank you for your input, as I hadn't heard/read anything about the Sally Hansen ones. In comparison, it sounds as the Sephora ones are easier to apply, no real pressure needed!

  5. Lovely stickers, I'm always very tempted to buy them cos they look so cute. However the shape of my nails seem to be atypical so they don't ever 'stick flat'

    1. @Michelle: I'm not too sure what would help in your case - a ridge filler might provide a more even surface to work with, but it would probably affect the application of the sticker. May be something to try out though.
