YSL Lingerie Pink ...and a dupe!

So, June turned out to be a very good month as far as lipstick purchases went and I was happy to delete quite a few items off my wishlist.
However, besides the excitement of expanding my lippie collection, I was in for a pleasant surprise:
Discovering a dupe for a high brand item, namely YSL Lingerie Pink!

The dupe is quite unexpected: it's from a Korean cosmetics brand called Etude House and it is the shade "007" from their Dear Darling Lips line. I 'm going to have to blame (well, thank basically) the lovely Whitney for bringing this brand to my attention and subsequently increasing my lemmings! :)
I 'm quite pleased with this product: it's well pigmented and has good staying power. The consistency of it is similar to a satin lipstick, which is one of my favorite finishes, however you might want to keep that in mind, if you find satin too drying.

The similarity of this shade to Lingerie Pink is certainly remarkable: below is Lingerie Pink on the left and the Etude Dear Darling Lips 007 on the right, both under natural light.

The YSL one is perhaps a slightly lighter pink shade, but even that small difference is barely noticeable when applied:

Lingerie Pink is on the top pic and the Etude one on the bottom.

Best thing about it was the price: I got mine on ebay for about $10.

So, let me know what you think and please share, if you 've discovered any good YSL dupes.
Also, is anyone familiar with Etude House or Korean cosmetics in general?

What's your opinion?

  1. :O i really like the finish of that lipstick!! do they do a nude colour? xxx
