Recent Beauty Purchases!

Seeing as many of you requested more haul posts on All the Vanity, I, naturally, had no other option but to oblige! Now, despite me trying to harness my beauty spending habits and shop my hefty stash more effectively, I did acquire a few bits & bobs recently, worthy of showing and telling!

The full list, which also doubles as a glimpse into future posts, is as follows:

1. L'Oreal Paris Ideal Soft Micellar Water. Now, I'm a die-hard fan of cleansing oils when it comes to makeup removal, but, for the eyes, I do appreciate something lighter, and I just have to witness first-hand if this is as good as everyone says it is!
2. Sephora Express Body Scrub & Mask. Although the idea of a body scrub/mask duo makes me raise an eyebrow, I'm willing to try it out. So far, every other Sephora body scrub I've tried has been a let-down, but, who knows, this might be the revelation the others weren't.
3. CSI Vitamin C +12% Youth Serum. Vitamin C is one ingredient you need in your skincare routine (extra detailed post to come), though unfortunately such products are often hard to come by and/or quite pricey. This one was neither, so into the shopping basket it went!
4. The Body Shop Shea Eau De Toilette. The Body Shop had a discount, I needed a backup, so that's that!
5. OPI San Francisco Mini Set. Yup, this one arrived through the mail - keep your eyes peeled for a San Fran swatch special very soon! :)
6. Chanel "Le Blush Creme De Chanel" Cream Blush in 63 Revelation. Loving cream blushes at the moment, and, I couldn't resist this one!
7. Sephora Colorful Glitter Eyeshadow in Love Song No 36. I needed a pink eyeshadow for a makeup look and this seemed to do the trick (Sephora also does a breathtaking neon pink eyeshadow, if anyone's interested, that one would put any brand to shame imo).
8. Bourjois Cream Blush in Nude Velvet. Another cream blush, anyone noticing a pattern here? This one is more peach toned, so, now, I think I have all the basic color families covered!

Hope everyone's well and had a relaxing weekend! See you all soon! :)

What have you been shopping lately?

What's your opinion?

  1. Nice selection, how would you rate the Bourjois compared to the Chanel?

    1. @Clare Visionarybeauty: I need to play around with them some more before I properly review them, but I do plan to make a separate review/comparison soon enough! :)

  2. I love cream blushes but I don't find practical the pan package, I do prefer the ones in tube or lipgloss kind of container. On the other hand, these new Chanel ones are tempting me and Revelation looks quite alluring!

    1. @ScrapgalGR: Yes, I hear you, though blushes that one can apply with brushes too are usually better than say, potted lip balms (tolerable, if anything)! Ah, those Chanel ones are lovely, it was hard to decide on just one shade!

  6. Lovely picks as always. The OPI San Francisco Mini Set looks beautiful...(I would expect nothing less than swatches and a mini "review").
Also, that l'oreal cleansing water has been sitting in my cupboard for a while now. Every time i think about using it, it feels like I am cheating on bioderma :P
However I am super excited to have someone else try it around the same time. I would love to know what you think of it. I have been loving the oil from that line but this product remains unexplored territory :P

    1. @Athina: Oh yes, the OPI review will be up next, as soon as I manage to take some well lit photos, that is!
Lol regarding the L'Oreal/Bioderma war, though I have a feeling these two are very similar! I have a couple of skincare reviews lined up already, but I definitely plan to put one against the other to see which wins!!! :)

  8. Wow!!! You seem to have great products here. Great selection indeed! I think I am going to try the L'Oreal Paris Ideal Soft Micellar Water. It seems like a great product to try out since I love cleansing oils too.

    1. @Susie: I know L'Oreal also make a cleansing oil as part of their new cleansing range, maybe that would also be something worth looking into! :)

  9. Τα αρωματάκια της body shop τα αγαπώ!! Έχω ήδη τρία και ψάχνω αλλά θέλω και μία πιο χειμωνιάτικη μυρωδιά! :)

    1. @Mint FloralDiary: Θυμαμαι, το neroli/jasmin ειναι πολυ ωραιο για χειμωνα, αν και δεν παιρνω ορκο οτι ειναι στη μονιμη συλλογη (I think it is, αλλα με τα TBS δεν μπορω να ειμαι ποτε 100% σιγουρη)! Παντως, εχεις δικιο, ισως θα αξιζε να εβγαζαν μια πιο herbal ή ελαφρως spicy μυρωδια για τους χειμωνιατικους μηνες! :)
