"What's In My Shower" Tag!

The latest "tag" that's been making the rounds, is the "What's In My Shower" tag, and, since the lovely Irene from Blushing Loves tagged me to do it, I simply had to oblige!

Now, I have no clue if there are any rules to this tag, and if I were to be literal about it I'd only be showing you 3 or 4 products (hello tiny shower with no storage unit!), so I figured I'd also include some hair and body products that normally sit in the bathroom cupboard, to give you a complete idea of what my full showering routine looks like!

First stop, hair:

One of my most recent purchases was the Fresh Line Polyhymnia Stimulating & Strengthening Shampoo. I haven't been using it enough to update you on its stimulating claims, but, so far, I'm enjoying it's subtle scent and mild cleansing action, which doesn't dry out my scalp. On days, however, when my hair is at its dirtiest, I use the Garnier Fructis Fruity Passion Fortifying Shampoo*, which is significantly harsher. The latter is also what Mr. "All the Vanity" uses from time to time (can you tell, we're trying to use it up?). And, since I'm a sworn blonde, I have to keep my locks shiny and brass tone-free, which is where the L'Oreal Professionnel Silver shampoo comes into play. I use this about once a week or whenever I want to counteract the yellow tones, but never for more than 5 minutes each time (otherwise I may end up with blue streaks, which ain't exactly the look I'm going for). My hair conditioner of choice lately has been the Fresh Line Erato Repairing & Moisturising Conditioner (thank you Glowbox!), which smells uber-amazing (crap writing, I know, but, it does) and keeps my hair soft and moisturised. On weekends, however, when I can spend a few more minutes in the shower, I use Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle Colour Deep Treatment as a mask (I've mentioned this in my October Favorites post here). Both of these hair products are among the best I've tried, and certainly the best smelling ones, so I cannot recommend them enough!

Second stop, body:

I usually begin my body routine with a scrub, and the one I'm currently using is the Sephora Express Body Scrub & Mask (I plan to review this separately). I don't scrub during every single shower I take, but I try to exfoliate my legs at least 2-3 times a week, to eliminate ingrowns and make shaving easier. I, then, move on to the actual cleansing part, and the showergel du mois (literally, another monthly favorite), is the Kings & Queens Tobacco one, the rich scent of which I appreciate even more, as the weather gets progressively colder! On to moisturising! Even though I have a sh*tload of body moisturisers at any given moment, I'm using this mini Orpheus & Eurydice one by Fresh Line (genius me dropped it on the floor, and I'm trying to use it up before the crack that I've patched with a piece of sellotape grows beyond a salvagable point). The... butt/thigh area gets preferential treatment, of course, with the Fushi Really Good Cellulite Oil - a repurchase (see full review here), and yes, it is really good! Last, but not least, I try to pamper my toes with a weekly pedicure, which includes The Body Shop Peppermint Smoothing Pumice Foot Scrub, a Mont Bleu foot file, and The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion, which is a heaven-sent for dry feet. You can find reviews on the latter two products on my past post here.

Phew, that felt like a lot! Now, let's see if the people I'm tagging have larger or shorter routines than mine:
- Make Up 4 All
- Did You Fall From Heaven
- ScrapgalGR Loves Blush, and
- Me, my blush and I.

What's in your shower? :)

What's your opinion?

  1. Darling, not having realised that this was a tag (yep...that's right I am an idiot) I wrote a post not too long ago which you are welcome to read and do a little comparison. Now let's talk about that sephora body scrub & mask...when are you reviewing it exactly?? No pressure.....:P

    1. @Athina: Now that you mention it, I think I vaguely remember your post too! No worries, I just figured I'd tag some people that probably hadn't done the tag, or weren't tagged already, without double-checking! Feel free of course to do an...updated version! ;)
The Sephora scrub/mask review should be up sometime in the next couple of weeks! ;)
PS: I'll try to get back to your email later today! :)

    1. @Marina(Makeup4all): Nope, I haven't tried anything else by Fushi, but I did discover that a greek online store stocks it too (may give that a go next time, along with something new)! I too remember your post about the Caudalie oil and the body brush, I think I may opt for that next time to be honest, hehe! :)

    1. @Did You Fall From Heaven: You're welcome dear! Hmmm, good question!!! I have no idea what it would do to natural hair... I suspect it would tone down the reddish tones, perhaps making them more ashy, but it could just as easily do nothing! Not much help this answer, I know... I should ask my hairdresser next time, haha! :)
