Nails Du Printemps 2014!

Brace yourselves people, for this is the girliest & most feminine nail polish post on All the Vanity of all time! I must be currently experiencing some sort of identity crisis, because, with the exception of white, I would never have dreamed of buying such flirty nail polish shades!

At this point, I have a confession to make: I'd never bought a pink nail polish up until now. And by that, I mean a straight up pink - neons and fuchsias don't count! Feel free to pass out in shock any time now. Just get back asap, cos we have some nail polish to talk about, mmkay?

Ok, so from top left and clockwise, we have:

- L'Oreal Color Riche in 001 Snow in Megeve, a nice white creme that goes opaque with two coats. If you've been reading me for a while now, you may know that I adore the texture of this whole nail polish range, as they don't apply streaky and this one, as expected, was no exception!
- Korres Nail Colour in 28 Disco Purple. Korres came out with a metallic nail polish range for Spring 2014, consisting of both nude and bright shades! Immediately I fell for this loud little number, a metallic purple-y hot pink! Application was lovely and reached maximum coverage with two coats.
- Nails Inc Special Effects in Westbourne Gardens. Here's where it gets cray-cray: we're talking full on pink glitter confetti nails people! And despite this being a little too "statement" for me, the mix of white, pink and rose gold hexagonal glitter pieces comes together pretty nice! Word of warning: swatch above was taken after two coats and I wouldn't recommend exceeding that: while you may achieve opaque status with a 3rd, you risk of having the whole nail polish fall off at some point later on (yes, I mean false nail style, how delightful)! It's also a mofo to remove, so it'd probably be wiser and save this as an accent shade (I'm getting less wise as I grow older, so...yeah...)!
- Essence Colour & Go in 106 Free Hugs. And last, but not least, we have a gorgeous light pink creme, with blue undertones, almost of the Pepto-Bismol variety. This one is said to be a dupe for Essie Chastity and I believe it also comes close to L'Oreal Acid Watermelon - at a fraction of the price of course! Lovely nail polish that goes opaque with two coats.

I guess spring has gotten the best of me - I can't explain this cheerful and bright nail polish selection any other way! Oh well!

What are your nail polish picks for spring?
